This exquisite Native American Patriotic Flag and Teepee Hand-Made brain-tanned deer hide Knife Sheath by Janice "Osalita" is beautiful. Native Americans use this technique of tanning to make leather soft and supple. In addition, this tanning method offers a nice smoked smell. The flag and teepee-pattern sheath features: a red, white and blue United States flag, red and blue teepees and a light blue background. The front is entirely covered in lazy stich beadwork.
