This Genuine Moss Green Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace, Bracelet, Ring, Earrings Jewelry Set is a beautiful collection of turquoise jewelry hand-crafted by Native American artist Jimmy Emerson. They were all finely hand-made out of shimmering sterling silver featuring hand-cut cabochons of genuine moss green turquoise. This gorgeous top-of-the-line turquoise delivers its natural green and brown hues to the white shine of the sterling silver for a traditional, yet fashionable appeal. Each turquoise stone is set in sterling silver in a simple yet tasteful pattern. The bracelet has five set stones on two bands that are on either side of a twisted wire. The necklace has a length made of silver beads with moss green turquoise stone spaced along it set in sterling silver that hang from the necklace and is finished with sterling silver cones with hook-eye and comb clasps. The French hook earrings feature two stones. It is all stamped Sterling. Turquoise stones may vary.
Turquoise has been available since about 200 B.C. and used extensively by Southwestern Native Americans and by many of the Indian tribes in Mexico. The Native American Jewelry or "Indian style" jewelry with turquoise mounted in or with silver is relatively new. Some believe this style of jewelry was unknown prior to about 1880, when a white trader persuaded a Navajo craftsman to make turquoise and silver jewelry using coin silver. Prior to this time, the Native Americans had made solid turquoise beads, carvings, and inlaid mosaics. Recently, turquoise has found wide acceptance among people of all walks of life and from many different ethnic groups.
We understand the value and nature of hand-crafted Indian art. It is important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe and to ensure you that this is the authentic, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
