This Wells, Fargo & Co. padlock and keys set is an incredibly well-made replication of a true piece of American History. It's a big one, too, made exactly the way they fashioned them in the old west. This lock was made from iron and it's meant to last a lifetime. The engraved plate on the front says: "property of Wells, Fargo & Co. Express San Francisco Division." History of Wells, Fargo & Company: Wells Fargo & company is A TRUE PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY! Henry Wells and William Fargo founded Wells, Fargo & Co. in the midst of the California gold rush in San Francisco. In the Wild West they provided banking and financial security during the times of runaway outlaws and train robbers. Wells Fargo gained fame for its company logo of a stagecoach in the 1860s. In 1861, the Company ran the western track of the Pony Express. Wells Fargo survived the Wild West and is still in operation today.
