TELEPHONE ORDERS 480 345 2457 MONDAY THRU SATURDAY Crazy Horse Howlite Sterling Silver Post Earrings
post earrings 1 3/4" long Stamped sterling These earrings are true work of art! This pair of non-Indian made earrings was hand-made out of shimmering sterling silver. They feature perfectly hand-cut cabochons of genuine howlite that come together to create an elegant and fashionable southwest style design. Hand-twisted sterling silver wires and individually hand-made sterling silver dots give this pair of earrings a beautiful high shine. The matrix of the howlite may slightly vary. The photo is an excellent representation of the one-of-a-kind hand-made pair of earrings you will receive. Howlite is named after the discoverer, Henry How, a geologist from Nova Scotia. Howlite is found in Canada (Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Brunswick), and the United States (California). California is the source for almost all of the howlite trade where nodules of up to one hundred pounds have been found. They are white and normally found in an opaque massive form; although there are extremely rare crystals of howlite. White howlite is not enhanced; it can be dyed to imitate other stones such as turquoise, lapis lazuli and others. |
