This fine pair features a beautiful inlaid design made from hand-cut stones of genuine turquoise, jet, lapis and other mixed stones. These earrings have been set against the brilliance of shimmering sterling silver. You will receive one of the pairs in the pictures below.

In ancient Egypt lapis lazuli was a favorite stone for amulets and ornaments such as scarabs; it was also used by the Assyrians and Babylonians for seals. Egyptian burial sites dating before 3000 B.C. contained thousands of jewelry items, many of them lapis. Powdered lapis was used by Egyptian ladies as a cosmetic eye shadow.
