No home is complete without a good dream catcher! This dream catcher was masterfully hand-made. The wheel was entirely wrapped in soft buckskin leather. The center of the wheel has the four corners symbol created genuine hair bone beads and a genuine deer horn button at the center. Plus, this dream catcher has a buckskin handle. This one has extra dressing with genuine feathers. The plated gold beads add an extra shine to this dream catcher.
Originally the Dream Catcher was hung by the window or at the head of your bed. The bad dreams get caught in the web. The good dreams work their way through the hole in the center, rest on the feather like a dew drop, and evaporate to the Great Spirit in the morning sun. The prayer beads on the Dream Catcher trap all the bad dreams that are left on the web. The prayer beads burn them up. There are many variations to the story of the Dream catcher with different tribes.
The objects man makes are called artifacts, and every artifact, whether it is beautiful or ugly, crude or refined, utilitarian or ceremonial, is a reflection and product of man's skills, his techniques, his arts. Artifacts reflect the ideas, the concepts, and the knowledge acquired or learned as a member of a tribe. Members of a particular tribe use certain techniques, and create a particular style because that is their tradition.
