A true piece of American History, this Wells Fargo & Co. padlock and keys set is an incredibly well made replication. It's a big one too, made exactly the way they made them in the old west. This lock was made from iron and it's meant to last a lifetime! The engraved plate on the front says, "Property of Wells, Fargo, & Co. Express San Francisco Division.”
This is a well made collectible of the Old West. Henry Wells and William Fargo founded the Wells, Fargo, & Co. in the midst of the California gold rush in California providing banking services and financial security for people during the times of run away outlaws and train robbers. In the 1860s Wells Fargo gained fame for its company logo, a stagecoach. And, in 1861, the Company ran the western track of the Pony Express. Wells Fargo survived the Wild West and is still in operations today.
