This is a high-quality, limited edition reproduction of an original work of Navajo art. Both the original and the reproductions are available. The intricate and detailed composition masterfully depicts the spirit of a Buffalo warrior chief flowing out from the smoke of a peace pipe. The detail and textures of this sketch are incredible. This is one of the finest examples of Nez's work that we've seen.

Frankie C. Nez is a full-blooded Navajo from Arizona. He comes from an artistic family and started drawing when he was about seven. Over the years he developed and refined his craft and has become a versatile and talented Navajo Indian artist. He skillfully works in a wide variety of media such as ink, color pencil, water color, and bead work. He also carves Kachina dolls and makes tomahawks. Nez does anything that comes to his imagination. He is well-known for his intricate details and exact, symmetrical compositions featuring traditional Navajo designs. Nez's work has been seen and sold throughout the southwest, in Mexico, and beyond. His inspiration mainly comes from his observations of life on the reservation.

We understand the true value and nature of hand-crafted Indian art. We recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to insure you that this is authentic, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
