These earrings are gorgeous pieces of jewelry! What a great combination of stones!

This pair of earring features a beautiful inlaid design made from hand-cut stones of genuine turquoise, jet, lapis and other mixed stones. The different stones hang from a diamond shape in a traditional design. They have been set against the brilliance of shimmering sterling silver. You will receive one of the pairs in the pictures below.

In ancient Egypt lapis lazuli was a favorite stone for amulets and ornaments such as scarabs; it was also used by the Assyrians and Babylonians for seals. Egyptian burial sites dating before 3000 B.C. contained thousands of jewelry items, many of them lapis. Powdered lapis was used by Egyptian ladies as a cosmetic eye shadow.
