TELEPHONE ORDERS 480 345 2457 MONDAY THRU SATURDAY 6 inch Native American Four Corners Dream Catcher Medicine Wheel
6" diameter This Native American Indian Dreamcatcher of high quality was skillfully hand-made by a Navajo Indian artisan. The wheel was wrapped in soft genuine buckskin leather. The web has been created with a traditional design in the center to symbolize the four corners of the earth, created with wooden pipe beads and a genuine abalone shell button. Genuine feathers have been known to act as symbols of prayer. In addition, attached to the bottom is a hand-made medicine bag. The dreamcatcher was hung by the window or at the head of your bed. The bad dreams get caught in the web. The prayer beads on the dreamcatcher trap all the bad dreams that are left on the web and the prayer beads burn them up. The good dreams work their way through the hole in the center, rest on the feather like a dew drop, and evaporate to the Great Spirit in the morning sun. There are many variations to the story of the dreamcatcher with different tribes. A man-made object is an ‘artifact.’ Every artifact, whether beautiful, ugly, crude, refined, utilitarian or ceremonial, reflects the product of man's skill, technique and artistic flair. Artifacts reflect ideas, concepts, and the knowledge acquired or learned as a member of the tribe. Particular tribes use certain techniques, and create a particular style because of their tradition. We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art and we recognize that it is important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. To insure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity will be included with this item. CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC |
